We give thanks to God for the food we will receive, for the friendship of those who will gather, and for all the gifts bestowed upon us. For the gift of life, for health of mind and body, for people who have guided and loved us, we give thanks.
Today we also hold in prayer those who are hungry, without shelter, those sick in body or mind. We pray for all who are without friendship, family or companionship. May we seek ways to be your presence to all who are suffering or in need.
We give thanks to you our loving God for the gift of faith, for the mystery of Jesus Christ who is with us, for the Spirit who guides us, for our families, friends and communities of faith who support us. For these and all your many blessings we pause to pray in thanksgiving, today and everyday.
